Blending Shapes

Howdy!

I hope that You have a great day ^,^

The reception of this really short game really amazed me. After completing this project I went on to learn some blender so I can create better models and environments I am currently 1/3 through this book, and at the end there is whole rigging and animating tutorial so after that I should be able to make enemies that don't look laughably bad, and actually move nicely :3

While learning is exciting, at the same time it can be a draining experience - hence I decided to undertake another short term project, but this time a little bit bigger with more features. I really shouldn't try to make something like L.S. (my 1st video-game project) at the start of my journey with GameDev because it bogged me down more than anything, and while "Cemetery walk" is simple and short it really gave me a lot of motivation to press on with learning.

So coming back to the main topic - I started working on a new short game "Blending Lights", however it won't be 5 minutes short, I hope for it to be at least 15 minutes, and have a lot more interactivity in it (well, around same amount as L.S. does, but I feel like that's good enough for now)... Maybee it will even have enemies that can hurt You - who knows? From the screenshot You can see that graphically it won't be done as pixelated mess, while I still think that it can be great in certain places at this time I can't make proper use of it and it is just wasteful. "Blending Lights" will still be a pixel-art game but more crisp and clear looking.

Thanks everyone for playing "The Cemetery Walk", and for reading this post. Hope we will see each other again shortly, with more competent game in the background.

Cheers <3
